Wheels on Fire Wheels on Fire They're from Athens, Ohio and they really get upset when you try to label them. Fuck all those sub-genres. Don't call them alternative something, don't dare to put a garage stamp on them or whatever. They are a rock 'n roll band, get it, a ROCK 'N ROLL band. Wheels On Fire were formed in 2004 and brothers Mike and Matt Chaney are the nucleus of the band. They brought in keyboard player Susan Musser, singer/guitarist John Garris and bass player JJ Reed. And they started writing songs and playing like every day could be the last of their lives. Enter Teddy Morgan, the superb guitar player and producer extraordinaire. He took Wheels On Fire into a Nashville studio and something magical happened. The result is a debut album, simply titled Wheels On Fire, which we here at Rosa Records rank among the best and most exciting debut albums of all time. Wild, energetic and full of great songs with memorable titles like Drinkin' From A Broken Glass. Kick The Wicket, Holy Ghost and Cryin' Bleedin' Dyin'. Tough & gritty rock 'n roll that pays respect to the great country, blues, garage and rock heroes of the past but that above all can't be compared to anything.
